Salim received his Ph.D. from the Computer Science department of the University of Pittsburgh. He has spent more than a decade on research and development of machine learning algorithms and their applications in healthcare and clinical decision-making. Throughout his work, he has participated in and led multiple software engineering and machine learning projects aiming to deploy real-time data pipeline and clinical decision support and the point of care with numerous experiences in back-end electronic health record integration. His work at the University of Pittsburgh in the development of real-time solutions for the processing of medical data, especially electronic health records (EHR), has led to the development of the AI platform that today is the foundation of NOMA AI.
